I chose to include a portion of our assignment, the Career of Choice research essay, because this was an assignment that gave me some important insights. The main purpose of this assignment was to research required skills and statistics regarding a preferred future career, and eventually write an explanatory essay on the topic of our selected career. Over the course of a few weeks we gathered information from multiple online sources in order to support our prompt.
I chose to include this assignment, as its production taught me more regarding the skills required when seeking employment as a web developer. During the research, I learned of the skills that employers seek in web developers. I was also made aware of the fact that employers are not just looking for skilled developers. It was clear that skills such as communication and adaptability were also required.
